Memorial Fountain
In loving memory of Kami Moon, a devoted supporter of our foundation. In honor of her father, Kelly, and his dedicated service to our country and community, a drinking fountain has been donated to Memorial Park in Berlin Heights for the enjoyment of all patrons, two-legged and four-legged alike.
Service Dog Hermes
Hermes is dedicated to his training with Professional K9 to become a Service Dog for our Veteran who is living with PTSD. His role will go far beyond loyalty. He will provide comfort, stability, and support in moments of stress and anxiety.
Golf Scramble Team
It was such an honor to sponsor a team of four Veterans to participate in the Corpsman Maxton W Soviak Foundation Golf Scramble. Supporting our Veterans was a great way to give back and honor those who have served.
Service Dog Havok
Havok is trained to detect changes in her Veteran’s body chemistry–such as elevated cortisol levels (a stress hormone) – through scent. When Havok detects the change, she alerts her Veteran prior to symptoms.
Gatlinburg Vacation
With the help of a local Veteran travel agent, we were able to provide a Veteran and his family with a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She was able to find a home that met his needs and scheduled activities that accommodated everyone.
Service Dog Emma
Emma is a specially trained service dog whose job is to detect changes in her Veteran’s cortisol levels–a key sign of stress. When she senses that her Veteran may be anxious or overwhelmed, Emma takes action to alert him and provide comfort helping him feel safe.
Clay Shoot Team
We were honored to sponsor a group of Veterans at the Clay for Courage competition at the Cardinal Shooting Center.
Service Dog Nova
Meet Nova! Nova was donated by the Humane Society of Erie County in Sandusky, Ohio. We contacted the director and shared what we were looking for and Melissa sent us Nova’s photo and a video and thought she fit our Veteran’s needs. After our Veteran met Nova, he knew this was his girl! Nova is finishing up her training with Professional K9 and should be home by July!
Tuition Assistance
A local Veteran applied for financial assistance with schooling after the company he worked for downsized. He is working on obtaining safety certifications which will make him more marketable in his field.
Service Dog Musha
Musha has been trained in a dual role. When off the clock, he is a support dog for his Veteran, meeting his needs. When on the job, he has been trained to be with his
Veteran at work and assists him in substance detection in public settings.
Financial Support
Provided financial support to a local Veteran owned business after an unexpected family hardship.
Service Dog Kava
Kava is currently training to become a service dog. She is supporting her Veteran while working hard towards completing her CGC.
Furnace Update
Replaced a control board on a Veteran’s furnace in December so his family didn’t have to use space heaters to stay warm.
Service Dog Jackson
Jackson was donated by the Humane Society of Erie County in Sandusky, Ohio. He has been trained on cortisol odor and deep pressure therapy to assist his Veteran when needed.
Home Updates
An area Veteran nominated another Veteran. While discussing the request, we found out she recently purchased an older home and her back door would not stay closed. Her biggest concern was her emotional support dog getting out. We suggested she also apply for herself. We are happy to say she did and we are excited to work with the Lunsford Group LLC, a Veteran owned company. They are replacing her back door with a steel entry door, new deadbolt and lock set. While there, they looked at her front door and will be installing a new lock set as well.
Service Dog Maggie
We would like to introduce Maggie. She is a Dutch Shepherd that came to us already knowing basic obedience. Her current training with Professional K9 is focused on the needs of our Veteran. If all goes as planned, she will be in her forever home by July!
Cabin Getaway
An area Veteran was nominated for a cabin weekend adventure. He used this time to relax, explore and create lasting memories with family and friends. JJB Getaways in the Mohican area was accommodating and a pleasure to work with.
Service Dog Jolene
Jolene has been trained on cortisol odor and deep pressure therapy to assist her Veteran when needed.
Nashville Album Experience
We are excited to help support a local Veteran with an opportunity to record an album in Nashville, TN. We believe every Veteran deserves the chance to pursue their passions and dreams.
Housing Assistance
