  • The foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Navy Corpsman Maxton Soviak, who was killed in action in Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021. Our mission is to provide Veterans and their families with the tools and experiences they need to Live Life MAX.

  • Yes. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

  • Our primary focus is on Veterans and their families. Eligibility requirements can vary depending on the specific program or event.

  • Donations directly fund our Veteran outreach programs, including K9 resources, outdoor adventures, and experiences. We pride ourselves on transparency and ensuring Max’s legacy has a tangible impact.

  • Yes! We host two signature annual events that serve as the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts. These events allow us to bring the community together to celebrate Maxton’s legacy while raising the necessary funds to support our Veterans.

    • Tango’s Trot: Our annual, family-friendly 1- to 2-mile dog walk fundraiser held in Berlin Heights, Ohio.  Named after Max’s dog, Tango, this event supports the foundation’s mission to help Veterans "Live Life to the MAX" by raising funds for service dogs and other veteran needs. 

    • The Maxton Soviak Memorial Golf Scramble: Our annual golf outing held at Woussickett Golf Course in Sandusky, Ohio.  The tournament held in honor of Max, raises funds to support Veterans, featuring 18 holes of golf, prizes, and raffles to help veterans "Live Life to the Max".
