We would like to introduce Maximus! He completed training through Professional K9. Maximus is by his Veterans side at home and work each day providing all the support his Veteran needs.
Say hello to Prima! Prima has successfully completed her obedience and cortisol training and is already making a meaningful impact. She’s helping her Veteran navigate stressful situations, ease social anxiety, and bring a sense of calm and peace to everyday life. Because of Prima, her Veteran is able to live life to the fullest—and this is just the beginning of the incredible things they’ll accomplish together.
We sponsored a Foundational healing grant through VETS-Veterans Exploring Treatment Solution. Providing the opportunity for innovative treatment to help with the personal struggles of PTSD, TBI and moral injury. We are honored to support the journey towards healing.
Sweet Clementine! Clementine has successfully completed her training through Professional K9 and is already making a meaningful impact in her Veteran’s life. Through specialized cortisol training, Clementine is able to recognize and respond to signs of stress, helping her Veteran manage PTSD and anxiety at home, in social settings, and in the workplace. Clementine accompanies her Veteran to work each day, providing steady support and reassurance. Because of Clementine, her Veteran is becoming more engaged in the community and feels more confident and comfortable going places that once felt overwhelming.
Introducing Onyx! Onyx was graciously donated by McCaulley K9 out of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and is already making a powerful difference. He has been trained to support his Veteran through anxiety, PTSD, and social stress, providing comfort, stability, and confidence in everyday life. With Onyx by his side, his Veteran has a loyal partner dedicated to helping him navigate challenges and live life to the fullest.
Meet Buckeye! He was previously owned by his Veteran, who reached out to ask whether he qualified as a service dog. After Professional K9 evaluated him, it was determined that Buckeye is indeed a strong candidate. He is now working on his training with his Veteran to ensure he meets all his Veteran’s needs.
A local Veteran’s home caught fire. We provided financial support for clothing and essential needs.
A Marine Veteran reached out to the foundation requesting assistance with the cost of surgery for his support dog. We are happy to report Sadie Mae’s surgery was a success and she continues to provide the support her Veteran needs.
Piper is a service dog, specially trained to meet the physical needs of her Veteran. She completed her training with Professional K9. Piper is permanently stationed with her Veteran in Ohio and attends fundraisers to show their support.
Franklin was generously donated to the foundation by local Marine Veteran Kyle Lisy and his wife Erin. Franklin completed puppy training and is now home in Philadelphia with his forever Veteran providing support and love.
We are proud to have provided financial assistance to a Veteran in need of dental care. We believe that supporting the well-being of our Veterans is crucial.
Pilot was rescued from a shelter. His role is to help support Veterans while in the community and at events. He not only represents the Foundation he also models behavior for dogs still learning the ropes as the beginning of their training journey to become a service dog for Veterans.
Provided airfare for a Veteran to come home to be with his mother who was in her final stages of cancer.
Our commitment to Veterans goes beyond just one event. One of the Veterans we sponsored recently purchased a local historic property. Because of the property’s unique history, extensive updates were needed before it could open as an event space and small business. We were honored to help him reach that goal. It’s inspiring to see this space being revitalized and turned into a place for the community to gather and make memories.
In loving memory of Kami Moon, a devoted supporter of our foundation. In honor of her father, Kelly, and his dedicated service to our country and community, a drinking fountain has been donated to Memorial Park in Berlin Heights for the enjoyment of all patrons, two-legged and four-legged alike.
Hermes is dedicated to his training with Professional K9 to become a Service Dog for our Veteran who is living with PTSD. His role will go far beyond loyalty. He will provide comfort, stability, and support in moments of stress and anxiety.
Havok is trained to detect changes in her Veteran’s body chemistry–such as elevated cortisol levels (a stress hormone) – through scent. When Havok detects the change, she alerts her Veteran prior to symptoms.
Emma is a specially trained service dog whose job is to detect changes in her Veteran’s cortisol levels–a key sign of stress. When she senses that her Veteran may be anxious or overwhelmed, Emma takes action to alert him and provide comfort helping him feel safe.
Meet Nova! Nova was donated by the Humane Society of Erie County in Sandusky, Ohio. We contacted the director and shared what we were looking for and Melissa sent us Nova’s photo and a video and thought she fit our Veteran’s needs. After our Veteran met Nova, he knew this was his girl! Nova is finishing up her training with Professional K9 and should be home by July!
A local Veteran applied for financial assistance with schooling after the company he worked for downsized. He is working on obtaining safety certifications which will make him more marketable in his field.
Musha has been trained in a dual role. When off the clock, he is a support dog for his Veteran, meeting his needs. When on the job, he has been trained to be with his
Veteran at work and assists him in substance detection in public settings.
Provided financial support to a local Veteran owned business after an unexpected family hardship.
Kava is currently training to become a service dog. She is supporting her Veteran while working hard towards completing her CGC.
Replaced a control board on a Veteran’s furnace in December so his family didn’t have to use space heaters to stay warm.
Jackson was donated by the Humane Society of Erie County in Sandusky, Ohio. He has been trained on cortisol odor and deep pressure therapy to assist his Veteran when needed.
An area Veteran nominated another Veteran. While discussing the request, we found out she recently purchased an older home and her back door would not stay closed. Her biggest concern was her emotional support dog getting out. We suggested she also apply for herself. We are happy to say she did and we are excited to work with the Lunsford Group LLC, a Veteran owned company. They are replacing her back door with a steel entry door, new deadbolt and lock set. While there, they looked at her front door and will be installing a new lock set as well.
We would like to introduce Maggie. She is a Dutch Shepherd that came to us already knowing basic obedience. Her current training with Professional K9 is focused on the needs of our Veteran. If all goes as planned, she will be in her forever home by July!

Introducing MJ, our first Emotional Support dog. Our Veteran chose him from Friendship APL in Lorain County. MJ attended basic training and is ready to give his Veteran all the love and support she needs.
